Title: Re: ABS/Traction Control - pointers needed Post by Pegasus on Aug 6th, 2005, 7:17pm Hi Pam & John, mine activated again when going over those rotten speed bumps. But when I got back in the car and started up I turned the TCS off then back on again - no more ABS/TCS lights. Haven't cleaned my sensors yet but this seems to be a way of clearing problem until I get the time to do it. HTH Pegasus |

Title: Re: ABS/Traction Control - pointers needed Post by howiedintheplace on Aug 6th, 2005, 11:02pm If the ABS light comes on after you have moved off say 20 mph then it's telling you that one of the sensor's can't detect the wheel turning. Maybe the backs as I think they also sense for the tration control. Try cleaning them up, if they was broken the light would not go off at start up. |

Title: Re: ABS/Traction Control - pointers needed Post by Pam and John on Aug 7th, 2005, 12:13am Cheers Guys, found the post advice area re try cleaning sensors, whipped one back wheel off to see where they are (at the top, under the caliper), then a good spray with WD 40 both sides seems to have sorted for now. When I get time, will do the job properly |
