Further to my "thought the car was on fire" topic the other day, my brother has had a look at the car & says there's a big hole in the inlet manifold & is pumping out water like no tomorrow & i need it replaced.
Anyone able to tell me what the hell its supposed to do & more importantly how much is one going to set me back?! :( :(

Oh dear!! thats my holiday out of the picture then! Any idea where i'll be able to get 2nd hand one?? breakers yards??

Been on a few breakers websites today trying to hunt down this infamous manifold, still waiting for a replies though.
Is this a common fault on the Scorpio? tried looking on our website but nothing on manifolds that i could find anyway.....

What spec is your scorp? I think i have a brand new inlet manifold in my shed.....its for a 2.3 16v ultima i believe

Here is one on ebay for a 2.0 litre, noticed that he has other inlet manifolds as well.

Good news is price looks OK.

Have used him for a few bits and pieces and found to be pretty reliable.

hi there

it needs to be from a 2.3 16valve. it's special plastic design which does away with the need for a VIS system. might be the same on the galaxy :-/
