Title: Another rear wheel bearing question
Post by locky on Aug 14th, 2005, 4:03pm
Ok, i've managed to fit the new o/s/r wheel bearing.  Folowed instructions on the main website and everything went together ok.  Bearings went in and rotated, packed with grease and hub nut tightened.

I have now noticed that when I put the car into drive (with foot on brake) there is a slight creek, same happens when reverse is selected ???.  Now i'm worried that it's going to fail again.

I have jacked the car up and checked the wheel for play, and it's nice and tight and the wheel can be rotated without any nasty noises.

Thank's in advance

Did it creak before you fixed the bearing ?

Sounds like nowt to worry about, just your Scorp  sticking its bum in  the air  when  torque  goes  to  the  diff.
