hi all i have a problem with my CD not working from time to time i was told it could be a lose fuse at the back so off i went and got the radio pullers only problem is now they are stuck in and the whole dash wants to come out rather than just the radio when i pull on them, any help would be great

you need to push them to the side, which will release the catches.

If the fuse /connections at the radio end are OK and solid and If your CD comes and goes and when it packs in there is no power at the changer, you may find that it is the earth at the changer.

I think it was on the mailing list that somebody commented that the plug and lead in the side of the autochanger has an earth lead connection which is pretty ropey/weedy.

I have the same problem and usually it packs in after I have been carrying something in the boot that has moved around. Comes back of its own accord but usually when the boot is empty.

The autochanger may be to well shock protected and may need a supplementary earth.

Baz may have a view on this as I know he has done a lot of mods in this area.

Going to fit an improved lead to the casing at some point.

thanks scorpio man but i should of said id tried pulling to the side with the same result the dash would rather come out than the radio, also the dash is slightly out of place and if i push it back the cd works plus the remote arm works but it looks like there could be some tension there because the dash will pop back out and the cd will still work until i hit a bump in the road, i dont think its the changer because there is always power to that, thanks for all the replies

hi there

i'd just remove the dash 'wood' and see what going on. sounds like a plug is loose or a broken wire. :-/

I've had the same problem.
While the dash is popped out use your fingers each side of the radio to press the spring arms in.
