Depends what part of the loom - the whole engine compartment is between £500 - £1000+ :-/

The fuel cut off looms are about £90

Best place IMO is http://www.fordpartsuk.com/

the expensive bit !! ..and usually unavailable ..hmm
most of us here carefully and patiently repair the loom where possible ricky .. if you do tackle it then you'll get plenty of help along the way ... STN

Yep looks as though STN is right again. Was very expensive and now unavaliable new. Looks like repair is the only answer. :(

thanks again everybody, looks like im going to have to get my soldering iron out, anybody know what type of cable is used ive been told some of it is screened, it looks like im going to have to make the whole loom from the connector block up to dissy , inc injectors, sensors ect, :'( :'( :'( :'(

Ricky .. the screened cables are less likely to be damaged but can still be repaired if they are .. for the rest just use a good quality wire .. wurth ..maplins ..etc ..
most connectors are same as old type Granada with plenty of donor cars available in scrap yards .. including the injector wiring < make sure you make a note of the injector sequence > .. don't go berserk as the coating on the worst wires will be obviously crumbled .. patience is the key ! .. what you must make sure of is that you use a very high quality insulation and then loom tape after all the repairs are done .. or if you're keeping the car then maybe even think of re-routing the loom away from heat sources ..  shout if you need help ... regards ...STN

ps. snap-on or other tooling factors do a neat connector wiring removal tool which helps ..

just to give you an update, went to maplins, got some 3core screened cable for the dissy supply, and some single cable to repair the breaks, also got some heat srink tubing to insulate the cables, ive run the screened cable round the bulkhead instead of in the loom as it will be cooler, all running ok , ivebeen out all day, done over 100 miles and ive not broken down once, still there is allways tomorrow, allways look on the bright side of life,,,,,,, ??? ??? ??? :) :)
