Hi, my name is Alun. in '98 at age 18, my dad gave me his '86 Granny 2.0i ghia auto. I loved it and even dreamed of owning before that.
In '95 I had seen the new scorp at a ford stand in a show in Kingsbridge accompanied by the crappy Mondeo (seemed good at the tme!) That was approx August.

I have now bought my dream car. It was registered the very week I first saw the scorp and I still have that very brochure I took home. It is a '95 Nreg 2l Ultima in Burgendy - bargain at £500.

Anyway, I don't have a manual - please let me know where to get one, a haynes one too - I can't find any.

So here's my first prob:

The passenger Climate control display keeps flashing from the temp set to 01.

For example: based on 20 degree setting it goes through the following display:

20 / -- / 01

What does this mean and how can I rectify it.

Just quick, it just had a maf sensor fitted and i checked the sensor and it's clean. Heavily in need of a service, the car is harsh in gear changes (AUTO) and will hesitate at different speeds as though I am pressing and depressing the accelerator? I'm guessing a good service would do justice but would it oridnarily be sensors too that are contributing to this?

re autobox. you say a MAF was fitted. was it a new one? why? you could give it a clean.....

Al, Welcome. There is no Haynes manual for this car. That is why this site was set up and why it contains so much detail on every subject. The links that Andrew (Scorpio Man) has mentioned are just the tip of the iceberg, thanks to those who set up and run the site.Good luck.
