Recently bought a 2.3 Scorpio- very pleased with the car but it seems to be using water - the header tank is about empty after 250 miles - does the 2.3 suffer from the same probs with cracked heads as the original 2.0 engines ? If not I suppose it's going to be a blown gasket - as there are no visible leaks- unless you know otherwise ?

have you checked the plastic inlet manifold?
