Title: Autodata Disc Post by kimi on Oct 3rd, 2005, 11:36pm I Would like to know if anybody knows what the difference was between Cd1 & Cd2 as both are available on the OFFICIAL AUTODATA site but it does not say what the differences are. I AM NOT ASKING FOR A PIRATE COPY , I can afford £89 each for the real ones with a licence but I want to know is what I am getting for my mouey! I assumed that there must be some garage mechanics who are members of this site and they may use or have access to the auto data discs and could tell me what the differences are. ... Kimi.... |

Title: Re: Autodata Disc Post by howiedintheplace on Oct 4th, 2005, 11:12am Kimi I think £89 is for the books not the CD. They do alot more now than they used to, take a look at this http://www.autodata.ltd.uk/frames/set_prod.htm They use to be alot more money as well. Legal wise the Scorpio site is your best option for Scorpio info, then Autodata. The Ford disk's you should not have. @ err . . . is there anything else that deals with the Scorpio ??? |

Title: Re: Autodata Disc Post by kimi on Oct 4th, 2005, 1:59pm Your right it's £99 not £89 for the basic cd, I was well annoyed when writing my reply to" big boss " because it was assumed I wanted a pirate disc. I didn't want it for Scorpio's , it's a christmas preasent for my future son in law , so I wanted to make sure I get one thats going to be usefull to him. He has a bodyshop but likes to do mechanical work as a change in his spare time. |

Title: Re: Autodata Disc Post by Baz on Oct 4th, 2005, 2:00pm There is a comparison between all of the available features on the disks and their respective costs at the bottom ranging from £116.33 for the basic disk to £669.75 for the disk with everything on including wiring diagrams. Have a look here http://www.autodata.ltd.uk/frames/set_prod.htm and you need to click on the CD bit at the bottom and all will be revealed. I would go with Howdie on this one, I have access to an autodata CD2 at my mates garage and it is very comprehensive for almost all cars, but there is more information on the main site on the Scorpio |

Title: Re: Autodata Disc Post by howiedintheplace on Oct 4th, 2005, 8:21pm Then Kimi Autodata is ideal as that is exactly what it's designed for. You should never need a haynes manual again ;D |
