i have just bought a ultima 24v 1995 2.9, the problem i have is the speedo is incorrect, and i am getting incorrect readings from my mpg and ave mph. Has anyone else had this problem?? Any advise please folks!!

When you say it's out by how much, alot or just a bit?

Could be your speed sensor or loom playing up.

Any other problems with gear changes etc

when im doing 30mph it shows 17mph, when doing 70 it shows 50. And it doesnt go into 4th,

This sounds like your VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor)

... or it could be that it shows the average mph since starting up. I'll do 75 miles, 50 at 70mph but the average shows 30mph (I'm assuming your referring to your mode switch). Also, your mpg shows current and average - the average returns the result since you last hit the reset (R) button. This also applies to the average mph.
