hi all. While my dad was parking my car in the driveway today, he accidentaly clipped the wall and smashed the passenger side headlamp. It's a facelift Scorpio - Just wondering if they are still available at Ford? I've heard they are getting a bit difficult to obtain. I had a quick look on ebay but cant see any facelift ones at all so I'm getting a bit worried.
Please give me good news :'(

hi geraghtyg.....
as andrew quite rightly says you hopefully will not need to change the whole headlight,and yes ford parts sell just the lenses,you can have a look at how to change them HERE (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/headglass.htm) just be carefull with the clips,especially when putting the new lens on,they are a little "brittle"....

Hi everyone. Thanks for your help. I've actually managed to order a lens at the local Ford dealership - Was afraid they might not have the tinted ones. Uncle is a salesperson there anyway so I'll get a discount on the quoted 84euro +VAT so not too bad. Now just have to sort out damage to paintwork on bumper and wing and also a dent on the wing.
Dad's gonna have to be more caferful in future >:(

Got my headlight glass last week and a few days went about about swapping it out.
I followed the instuctions on this site. The glass part of the headlight should just slide out after undoing tall the clips. However, There appears to be some sort of sealant or something between this part and the main part of the headlight so I can't get to it properly. When the weather gets a bit warmer (will it ever???), I plan to remove the whole headlight. I've located 2 bolts to undo but I was told by a Ford mechanic that there are 3 bolts to undo. Anyone know where the 3rd bolt is located? Please don't say it's in some awkward place underneath!!! >:(

To gain access to the third headlamp unit bolt remove the indicator/fog lamp unit in the bumper. You'll maybe need a long extension socket, but if you've got dainty Ladieeeees hands ( like me ) you can get at the bolt with a short socket .
