OK, I will do my best to explain this as I am not with the car and I am relaying my brother-in-laws question who has been working on it!

At the back of the engine there appears to be some kind of exhaust recirculation valve (rear of centre intake manifold). There are two pipes that exit below which have been accounted for but there is a single pipe on top which we need to determine where it goes.

Can anyone help? Picture would be good,...please, please!!

Have a look at this http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/egrmonitor.htm I believe the pipe connects to the EVR on the lefthand (as you look at it form the front of the car) side of the car just down the side of the engine you should see this EVR along with a whole bundle of other vacuum pipes.

Look at the link lonesomecajun as put up, that should show you.

Goes to the EVR :) which is mounted on a plate by the right hand chassis rail.
