Hi all, finally got my car repaired after all the problems i was having over the summer but now as the battery has been replaced the radio is asking for the code, no problem but the display is completely blank! does anyone out there know the exact sequence you need in order to enter the code without seeing the sequence?! For example do you enter the code as soon as the radio is turned on? how many times do you press the button for zero??!! Basically its like you were entering the code blindfolded! any help would be appreciated!

give the contacts on the removable panel a clean first.

Let's assume your code is 1234....
Now let's enter your code...

Press the "1" button once to get yourself into entering mode, then once more for the 1 in the code.
Then press the "2" button twice...
The "3" button three times...
The "4" button four times...
Then the "5" button once to confirm it all.
Your code should now be entered.

But ideally clean those contacts and get the display working.

Thanks for that, have cleaned the contacts everyday for the passed week but the display is still showing nothing im afraid, have even left the radio"on" when im driving in the hope that the display will clear but nothing so im hoping that if i can get the code cleared that then at least i can listen to the d**n thing if not read it!

If all else fails, you can pick up a Ford Series 3000, 5000RDS-EON, 6000RDS-EON or 7000RDS-EON ( they all fit in the Dash ) on Ebay fairly cheaply and easily.

Yeah might have to do that as tried again yesterday, cleaned the contacts, entered the code but nothing, up to 9 attampts now, one more & its locked out for ever.....well until Ford charge how ever much to do "unlock it"
Having nothing but irritating problems with the Scorpio after a hassle free first few months driving but now after a year im beginning to think if its all worth it! Crisis of faith looming! :'( :'(

Anyone near you who can clip in their panel? Just to get it unlocked again I mean.
Then mess about with the contacts etc afterwards.
