Title: Re: Footwell full of water ! Post by Snoopy on Nov 25th, 2005, 7:40am Its either the heater matrix gone or the drain pipes on the AC or bulk head are blocked. If its the matrix then your coolant level will be low. If its not low on coolant then it has to be the drain pipes that are blocked and need clearing. http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/acdrain.htm |

Title: Re: Footwell full of water ! Post by charlie_nutmeg on Nov 25th, 2005, 11:59pm Been there, sympathy. I shorted the heater matrix out and bought a electric car heater. Chocalate fire guard. Changed the matrix which on my 92 Granada is the same as a Sierra, 10 a peny at scrap yards. |

Title: Re: Footwell full of water ! Post by Scorpio_Sam on Dec 4th, 2005, 10:30pm Just to let you know, I spent all day Saturday ripping the beast apart, got too dark on Saturday to finish, Sunday morn dragged the faulty Matrix out with great glee ;D then got the shiny new Matrix out of the box slid it into the heater box halfway and it would go no more, the main body would not clear the center of the heater box, so back to the suppliers in the morning, cant wait for anothers day of split knuckles. |

Title: Re: Footwell full of water ! Post by mr._floppy on Dec 4th, 2005, 11:10pm I'm thinking Ford Europe should issue Gallantry Medals for us Scorpio owners, with ribbons for Long and patient Service, Bravery in the field, The Gallantry Cross for solo loom replacement and Valiant Conduct in the face of an ill fitting Matrix. God, it's hell! You know, I wonder if the Germans are spoofing us , and that German Scorps are perfect and never give a moments trouble, and they sabotaged all the models destined for Blighty. ??? |

Title: Re: Footwell full of water ! Post by Scorpio_Sam on Dec 5th, 2005, 11:59am Still could not get the right Matrix from my local motor factors, tried ford and fell over at £110 and not one in the country, so I ended up Ordering one from Kempston Radiators, £91 all in including delivery. Still stings at £91 but at least I should have the right one, time run out now, probably another week of the wifes Clio :( I KNOW IM SAVING FUEL BUT I WOULD RATHER BE IN THE BEAST. |
