Title: My Scorpio has some trouble starting from cold
Post by ScorpioInDK on Dec 2nd, 2005, 5:44am
Hi forum,

I am the owner of a 2.9 12 v, and the car has some trouble starting from cold. When I start the car, the revs goes to 1500 and then it dies out after 3 seconds.

The solution right now is to give the car some speeder pedal (give it some more thrust). But even if I do - letting go of the speeder pedal after 30 seconds - results in quite unstable revs( between 500 - 900 revs) .

Normally when I want to drive the car from cold - I have to spend 3 to 4 minutes before engaging in Drive mode.

Has any of you experienced the same problem? What to do?

yes,i have the same problem with my 2 litre ultima.it will start without throttle, but i have to use the throttle as soon as it starts and keep it revving for a minute or so.
