With impeccable winter timing, my scorp has just decided it wants its sunroof open permanently!

Went to use the car, ignition on and then before engine even started, sunroof began to open on its own. Opened itself all the way and now refuses to budge.

I tried to use global closing but no life from sunroof that way either!

I don't really mind if I loose the use of the thing, just obvously need to get it closed somehow.

Anybody else had this or have any ideas?

Large black bin bag and gaffa tape???

Judging by the amount of rain we've had,I'd check the relay panels,fuse box and anything else electrical,sounds like a short somewhere?

Sounds like a wiring/switch short
ie trying to close constantly.
I know you can pull the roof back manually but not sure if it can be closed manually.

Have a look at the wiring, i know water has been known to get in through the ariel hole (where the sunroof switch is)

Or remove the fuse 28 (will stop rear windows working too) and try it manually.

Ahh, that explains why the same thing was happening to the rear windows a couple of days ago then.

Only difference, they were able to be closed again without a problem.

hi there

if you drop the motor, you should be able to pull it shut.
normally, most people have a problem opening it! ;D
