Title: In Car Mobile Phone Problems
Post by josswallace on Dec 7th, 2005, 7:12pm
I have just got a Nokia CK-7W in car kit for my new 6230i phone, Kit, cradle, antenna lead and antenna. I have a 1995 Scorpio Ultima with the Ford supplied Radio/6 * CD changer in the boot - 7000 series I think, but would need to check if necessary.

I have just spoken to my installer and have a couple of questions.

1. Would the radio/cd supplied with the car suppor muting of the radio on receipt of a phone call.

2. I also have been informed that if I want to use the radio's loudspeakers I need an extra kit/lead. If so where would I look to get it. Does anyone know what manufacturer supplied the radio to Ford.

If any one has any knowledge in this area I would appreciate some help.

7000 does support mute see here (http://www.siocommunications.co.uk/Ford_Mutes.html) for the pin you need!

Not sure about the kit for the speakers!

Alteration to above problem

I qouted the radio/cd number incorrectly. Actually I have a Ford 2007 CD Stero Radio/Cassette Player with RDS_EON and 2060/2062 CD Changer (6 *cd's in the boot)
