Noticed today while under the car that the offside Track Rod Spindle -to- Steering Rack Gaiter has broken.

So when to Ford and it is just £10! Cool! So iwent on to ask about the Hose Clips and they say the inner clip that secures the Gaiter to the Rack are £21 each???

was convinced they must have gotten the wrong part and when challenged they got quite shirty with me!

Does anyone know why this hose clip is so expensive? Is it a special shape/design? Cant a tie-wrap or normal hose clip suffice from Halfords or summat??

I bought a brand new rack from Fordparts.co.uk and that came with cable ties!?

yes they are, also, you can use large jubilee clips.

if you do use cable ties, get them as tight as possible.
