hi folks, have just bought a scorpio diesel and absolutely love it, but, it does smoke quite heavily under acceleration, i have changed the air filter but there has been no improvement. someone suggested the injectors may need adjusting? any idea's?

Dont hear much about the TD Scorpio to be honest. Am sure one of the "veterans" on here will help you out.

Hello and welcome.
I had trouble with my diesel smokin a lot under acceleration.
I had my injectors overhauled which helped, cost £40 plus vat per injector.
But it still smoked a bit, i then had the EGR cleaned out as this some times gets clogged up.
Problem sorted.
Also i gave it an oil and filter change and a fuel filter change too.

try a new fuel filter, filled with a good injector (diesel) cleaner & give it a good road test, egr may also be a problem, you may be able to blank that off.

cheers for the advice, a new filter fielled with injector cleaner sounds worth a try, at around 200 quid to have the injectors overhauled i'll leave that option till last, and erm, what the fooks an EGR and where is it?
