Title: Variation at idle running - warm engine
Post by runsun on Jan 19th, 2006, 2:43pm
Hello !

I have a Scorpio doch 2.0-16Vaut., -96 sedan.

When I start up (cold engine) the idle speed is running very smooth and accurate rpm, but when the engine is warm the idle speed begins to varying and the engine runs rough and rattles (only at idle speed).

Are there any sensors I maybe have to check ???

I've got the same thing happening just now and its going in to my mechanic next week for a proper look. I think that the CAT has gone personaly by looking through the forums >:( What side is the rattle coming from does it actualy sound loader when you move round to the wheel arch and under the car?

Check MAF and for any air leaks, but if you are getting rattle as well.....
