My speedo reads 20mph when the actual speed is around 40mph.Obviously a faulty speed sensor but can anyone say if the sensor on a 2.5 manual deisel model is the same as the sensor on a 2.9 12v auto?

The fan on my 2.9 12v auto comes on as soon as the ignition is switched on and stays on all the time.Only recently purchased the vehicle and not really sure if it should be staying on.Any help please?

The VSS speed sensor AFAIK is the same on ALL the models
