are we sitting comfortable.... then we will begin.......It was a cold January night when grawler the granada Scorpio 2.9 12v ultima estate decided it wanted to pull a strop.....on this day it drove 50 miles in the mornin no problems then it drove back....... good as gold with a smile on its wide mouth frog face
any way it took the kids to nursery no probs but when it was started with no problem but growler had no power........it seem to run fine but with no power

anyway the bonnet was pulled and the spark was checked ...and everything seemed to be ok.
but she wasnt well with her engine running all the plug leads on the drivers side could be pulled off and still she ran you could evern pull one off the passenger side so there where 2 pots running the engine ands still she ran.........so new plugs where given to her but still no power so that ruled out spark leads plugs dissy cap.....so that left FUEL

now shes a good girl and never had less than half a tankso that ruled out s**t in the fuel line now up she ran good as gold and the injector plugs wheere pulled and checked for a ressistance of 10.8 but still the drives side still had no power so she didnt want to play.......now i will. i have a gallon of petrol and a goo inssurance policy unless some kind soul can help me....................... ???

is it just sluggish, or way down on usual power?

have you checked/cleaned the maf sensor?

no i havent but i have taken a injector plug off no 6 pot and plugged it into no 5 pot on the other side and it works so that tell me its an electrical problem..... but it seems strange that the whole left side isnt workin ??????????

ok, check the coil packs AND all the wiring asscosiated with them, you may find the wiring is cracked.

Dont check the MAF, you havent got one ;) (12v)

thanks for all help i never seen a granny run on 2 pots .....ok will do ..............but just to let you know i know its not plugs leads dissy cap cause after advice i changed them i think its the injector leads as in the power to the injector plugs cause everything else is ok.....................right just been outside and its ok and didnt see any cracks.............??????????

hey listen any help is greatfully received because you fine people have bounced ideas around ive got some new ones to try..................i got a feelin it might be the multiplug under the bonnet

Check the large multipin plug that fits into the eec which is above the passenger foot well under the glove box and behind the soft trim . I have known this get kicked by people and it can become dislodged .

Also worth checking ALL the multi pin plugs and all fuses and links.

ok everyone... your goin to love this...... i checked all the mutilpugs from the ecu under the dashboard to the injectors....... cleaned and tested with mutimeter everything says its ok ......strange...... but your goin to love this ....did a lot of reading lastnight and found out the power for the injectors splits into 2 lines then spit again into 3 on each side ....so had a work with a friend this mornin and piggy backed the left 3 to the right 3 and guess whatt..... its running perfect this mornin............any advice ha ha ha just done 20 miles no probs................

Well at least that narrows it down a bit more Keep us posted,
BTW have you found the wiring diagrams ?
If not they are here even though it states "sierra" they are for the Scorpio
