Title: remote transmitter Post by alpress on Feb 6th, 2006, 6:12pm Breath new life into a worn remote transmitter module. I have recently made the following modification to my Scorp remote transmitter with satisfactory results. The contacts on the remote are formed from conducting rubber which is spongy and can become compressed with repeated use. If you look at the photo of the underside of the remote rubber diaphragme on the Scorpio website, you can just see the two small spacer bars on each side of the contacts. Using a small scalpel blade carefully cut off these spacer bars. This will allow the buttons to move further, compensating for a certain amount of wear or compression of the contacts. Hope somebody will find this useful. |
