Title: bushes or worse?? Post by stafford on Feb 13th, 2006, 6:02pm Hello lads..just noticed over the weeks a decrease in ride comfort overall...can feel all little bumps..just come out of gym on reversing full left lock it clunks from front drivers side...no other noise when driving comes from front wheel and pretty sure gaitors ok and its not the same noise as cv joint does when its about to pack up..is this a TCA? cheers tyres on 29 psi |

Title: Re: bushes or worse?? Post by tjp_lawson on Feb 14th, 2006, 11:13pm got my last strut for 24v from allparts for 30 quid it was actually a diesel one but same spec if your industrious enough and you`ve got spring compressors cup can be replaced from any scorpio strut not sure if this is available as a spare though?my spring actually snapped and was making sound you describe, a seized cup will do the same though. |

Title: Re: bushes or worse?? Post by mr._floppy on Feb 16th, 2006, 1:37am Try jacking the front up and waggling the wheels while watching the front and rear wishbone rubber bushes ( it helps if the keys are out of the ignition and the steering wheel lock is on ) , any significant movement means ( an MOT failure for a start !) bush replacement is imminent. Knocking from the front over uneven ground is another sure sign of bush softness. |
