Title: Re: HELP I can't open it Post by Geoff_W on Feb 23rd, 2006, 9:42am You dont have another Ford in the family do you? I ran into a problem where I was using the wrong set of keys, in fact the old set from my Mk3. You can lock the car with an incorrect Ford key but it will not open again until you use the right one. :-[ Just read the bit about you having to get a lift home, so I guess you had the right keys when you drove there in the first place. |

Title: Re: HELP I can't open it Post by tipierre on Feb 23rd, 2006, 12:51pm Hi, I don't have any other keys at home So it can't be the problem. This morning I tried WD40, it wasn't success again. The breakdown services didn't do it neither and now the car is with Ford. |

Title: Re: HELP I can't open it Post by Ultima_Stu on Feb 24th, 2006, 9:08pm You've obviously read my fun and games with this sketch! Not really sure what happens but the red key was our only way in. The system was then reset by a dealer and a new key set fitted (Bonds of Pocklington 01759 303225) Not much of an answer but you certainly have my sympathy! Stu |

Title: Re: HELP I can't open it Post by bertie on Mar 2nd, 2006, 7:38pm you have my sympathy mate, happened to me last year. left the estate at Newcastle airport whilst on honeymoon...returned to this s#ithole country on a freezing cold windy day having left Alcudias hot sun shine to find the locks wouldn't open with the key and the remote wasn't working...d**n. so I said to the wife...pick a window...lifted up the beath towel and put out the rear passenger window, stuffed the cases in through the window !!! I crawled in, alarm blarring and let the passenger window down, stuffed the wife in through the window and drove home with the indicators flashing and horn sounding. 2 days later went to Ford and bought new lock set, £70 and fitted them, Ford reprogrammed at a cost of £50 so job sorted. I checked the microfische, I had a relpacement window in the shed so that sorted that. reading this forum it looks like Scorps sieze their door locks as a common fault so 1 day when the remote doesn't work...bang ...no getting in. mind, did another Scorp same problem, and drilled the pass lock 8mm to start finishind with a 10mm, and when the drill bit went through lock, click, it triggered centrl locking and car opened. Only took 10 mins or so to drill out with my 18v dewalt cordless, so a thought for someone stuck.... |
