Title: dash vents letting in air when off
Post by cossie_al on Mar 2nd, 2006, 10:14pm
Evening all,
been reading the stuff on c/c reset but cant seem to find an answer to my latest prob.
Ever since I got the car it seems to let a certain amount of air through the dash vents even when they are 'off'
is this just a trait of the ultima or is there a fault?
One of these days not to far away I will be able to say everything is as it should be and nothing is broken ;D

Mine does that as well (when driving, not when standing still). Seems like the vent valves doesn't close 100%, and lets the pressure from the wind press air through.

The sealing on the valves are broken but I dont know if there are new ones to buy.

You could always try pressing the air recirculation button and see if this cuts off the airflow, which i think it should.
