Hi, I´m driving a Scorpio Cosworth 24 v from 98. I have since a couple of months almost lost the heating inside. It will be a little warm, but not hot as it used to be. My workshop has changed the thermostate and tried to flush the radiator. They say that it´s probably the radiator that should be replaced but are not shure. How shall I (they) continue, what tests can be performed? Yes you are right the Ford workshop should of course know, but they don´t.

You could have an air leak somewhere. Try to park the car facing uphill and run it till it warms the engine. With the coolant cap of....and rev it a few times. This is the easyest fix.

Did they backflush the Radiator or the actual heater matrix? It doesnt take much for the matrix to clog up.

Thank´s for the answers. They flushed the heater matrix. It flushed very well but someone told me that this doesn´t mean for shure that it´s ok ? Anyway I will try the way Octavian described first. Can it be something in the climate control system?
