Title: ABS Warning light Post by Welshie on Mar 5th, 2006, 2:55pm Car failed the dreaded MOT last Wednesday six things Rear numberplate light Front High beam inoperative lower ball joints both sides front and both flexie hoses And the dreaded ABS light staying on Well after a visit to Fords and £310 lighter i had sparkly new wishbones and flexies and even new roll bar rubbers and all went well changing them no real problems other than a little stiff bolts. Fixed the back number plate bulb but needed to get a high beam bulb. Tried then to find the problem with the ABS!! took all sensors off and cleaned followed the instructions on this site and still failed to find the fault feeling depressed and doomed to have again to pay through the nose to get this problem fixed on Monday Meanwhile after passing Halfords and buying a new bulb for my main beam i thought i would slip it on and one less problem would be fixed. after putting the bulb in and going to start the car, Hey Presto willy wonka the ABS light was going out on cue?? Thought hello and tried it several times still working. Thought maybe it doubled as a bulb failure warning light or something so i thought i would post it and with a little luck it willsave soemone else grief regards Welshie |

Title: Re: ABS Warning light Post by Simmo on Mar 5th, 2006, 3:01pm Did you read this?.http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/abslight.htm as it says that the connector in the engine bay can be a source of the problem. Could you have 'disturbed' it whilst fitting the new bulb?. |
