Title: Rear springs Post by clapham on Mar 7th, 2006, 11:09am I replaced the rear springs supposedly with heavy duty in December because I'd had problems scrubbing tyres when towing. The car stil looked like it was riding very low! Now I've been told that my drive shafts need replacing and that the low ride may have contributed to this. New springs AGAIN then (as well as new drive shafts)? Any body had similar problems? How can I be sure new springs will correct the ride height? Cheers |

Title: Re: Rear springs Post by barrie on Mar 7th, 2006, 11:16am Yeh, I have just found I have the same problem as I have a lpg tank in the spare wheel well which seems to drop my car by an inch. I will have to get the back suspention upgraded as when towing there is very little clearence. Might as well have anaditional oil cooler fitted as well. Cheers Barrie |

Title: Re: Rear springs Post by mr._floppy on Mar 7th, 2006, 5:53pm You can buy rear spring Boosters ( essentially bits of heavy duty rubber that are placed between the spring coils ) much in favour with the caravanning fraternity. |
