Title: Wheel Bearings Post by Wafoo on Mar 8th, 2006, 12:49pm Anyone got a rough idea of the cost of a garage doing the rear bearings,mine sound decidedly ropey so need 'em doing. |

Title: Re: Wheel Bearings Post by mr._floppy on Mar 8th, 2006, 3:51pm My local garage mechanic ( as a favour at £5 an hour ) charged me £140 for the rear O/S bearing . bearing kit = £32 Hub Flange = £88.76 ( this may not need replacing, but it does get damaged when the bearing decides to make weird noises ) Labour = 4 hrs x £5. |

Title: Re: Wheel Bearings Post by craig on Mar 8th, 2006, 4:48pm just bite the bullet and get them done if they are "rumbling" in my opinion,sod the expense,i'll tell you this,couple of months ago my near side one just collapsed on me,bearing,carrier,discs,pads + labour + inconvience and everything else + the thick end of £500.00..... >:( >:(... thats my tip anyway.. |
