Title: Stereo Post by Paulus on Apr 2nd, 2006, 9:20pm If I upgrade my car stereo to something else, will the steering column controls still adjust the volume etc? I changed the stereo in my old Espace and they stopped working. |

Title: Re: Stereo Post by sector-9 on Apr 2nd, 2006, 10:55pm Go to Halfords(even if you don't intend to buy from there) - they sell the harness adaptors you'll need, and they do adaptors with the interface to suit the Ford column remote. You then just buy a patch lead to connect the interface to your chosen brand of stereo. Total cost for harness adaptor (Ford>ISO), inc. remote interface and patch lead is about £35. You'll then need to add the cost of the head unit itself, but check it will accept a wired remote as those at the lower end of the price spectrum often don't! Darren |

Title: Re: Stereo Post by nuttyscorp on Apr 3rd, 2006, 12:05am Darren, friendly bit of advice, please amend your post to read "halfords" only. http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=Advice;action=display;num=1143273574 no doubt it was in jest, but, needs to be amended! link refers to "ford", but its about what a site can be done for in court mate!
