The torsion bar mounts can cause this sort of noise , They are really cheap and only take a few minutes to replace if they are worn, There is one either side of the car.

Or  maybe   the     anti-roll bar/strut       links   are   past their best.

Go to this page and select 'stabiliser bar'. I think that is what they mean. http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/suspensionman.htm.

The antl roll bar that runs across the front of the car linking the two suspension sysytems is a TORSION bar. Just different terminology..

Also heard them called Drop link bars!

Good write up here here (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/linkrods.htm)

You may find they just need tighting up following the work - I had similar following replacement of the front springs!

Snoopy is talking about the anti roll bar bushes I think? All worth checking anyway!

Had exactly the same problem with mine only on the front O/S, replaced both drop link bars (£45) and both anti roll bar bushes (Under a tenner) and the problem went. Handles much better now too.
