Hi I just aquired a lock set for my car and need to ask the following questions, what is the procedure for replacement and once the ignition barrel has been replaced how do I go about having the car programed to accomodate this change.

What many folks do is drive the car to the Ford dealer then change the barrel when you are there. They can then program the red key to the car.

Or you can tape the old key to the steering column after you change the barrel, so you can get to the FMD ;)
