Title: Cosworth alarm Post by Malcolm B on May 14th, 2006, 3:11pm I have an irritating problem with an alarm going off - sometimes. Sometimes never , sometimes after 1 hour , sometimes a few minutes. Where would I look first ? And assuming the PATS system gives ani theft protection anyway - is there a way of locking a Cosworth without setting the alarm ? |

Title: Re: Cosworth alarm Post by Ultima on May 15th, 2006, 8:09am Where's this isolator switch? I've got so annoyed at my alarm going off I've removed the fuse for the horn (but that's not solved it so pretty pointless) I've got a N reg 2.9 12v Ultima Estate (Auto) |

Title: Re: Cosworth alarm Post by sector-9 on May 15th, 2006, 5:32pm When mine was doing the same it turned out to be the boot lock barrel not popping out fully - since removing it and cleaning it all up my alarm's been fine. You can tell if this is causing your trouble by unplugging the leads from the lock assembly and seeing if the fault disappears - though you'll then need to use the key to open it! Darren |

Title: Re: Cosworth alarm Post by Malcolm B on May 17th, 2006, 12:26am Thanks Darren - I will check the boot barrel. I have it stick in from time to time , usually in the winter- could well be the problem |
