Title: wiring loom or gearbox?
Post by liammac on May 17th, 2006, 8:30am
my 24v struggles to change up out of 1st and then the changes are all quite clunky. this happens at the same time the intermittent speedo is OFF. also the ABS and traction lights come on together then go out after a while, the coolant level light comes on accaisionally for about 5 mins and goes out again- coolant level is good, no chage in 18months (something to cheer about!) left side of quick clear screen is not playing, and the roof sometimes will not open or close.
now you might think i should scrap the beast but i love it dearly and am looking for a bit of advice........

Also, I don't think anyone one here would suggest you scrap it  ;)

if it is just the loom like mine. its only costing me £100 to have it refurbished so definatly not a scrapping decision

thanks fellas, sounds like good news. now all i have to do is get good news from the garage it's at......
by the way, there's a garage on the A1 in barnet/whetstone called M+S (mick and steph) and they seem pretty good with cosworth's - very knowledgeable and straightforward.   0208 441 8547
