the 24v is different, only other difference I think is the auto rad which has the gearbox cooling pipes attached, you can use an auto rad on a manual but not the other way round, not sure on the 12v but I think you should be able to use any rad

I have a 2.0 16v auto rad I can send you a pic of

The 12v Auto use the same rad as the old granada.... See the write up I did on changing mine HERE (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/radiator.htm)

Cheaply avaialable from MOST factors.

Ironically, the diesel has possibly the smallest radiator of all the Scorpios - to make room for the intercooler which fits on the RH side.  Not a wise idea I think; the VM engine is very vulnerable to head warpage if it overheats and combine the lower water content (less than any other engine in the range) and the turbocharger and it's understandable why they fitted a large oil cooler radiator and huge finned sump.  Could this also be the reason the diesel auto is unsuited to towing - because of the inability to use the main radiator for ATF cooling (the oil cooler for the diesel engine is the same as the ATF cooler for autos)?

I think they advised an additional oil cooler for the TD, IF using it for towing..... I well remember seeing something about it. I wil have a dig around, and see if I can unearth it again.
