Weyhey, we're back on the road now after having the inlet manifold replace  >:(, however our friendly mechanic has advised me that the wiring loom on the driver's side of the car is worn in places and in need of replacing, he did say that he could heat shrink wrap most of it to save replacing it - has anyone tried this or am I better replacing the whole loom?

heat shrink works fine. but better to replace if you can locate a loom at a reasonable price
