can anyone tell me what are the expected numbers out of the MAF unit using obd software..my scan shows .3- .6 max at 2000 rpm ..is that normal???
p0171 error keeps coming up running lean ,,engine hunting at idle..advice appreciated

hi there

the MAF reading on a 2.3 are about 0.38 to 0.45 at idle. aat 2000rpm the reading is about 1.6

thanks very much for that info ....its meeting those numbers just checked...cant figure why its coming up with lean on the readings ..says left bank lean ..odd when its not a V engine maybe thats an error..change o2 sensor ..cant hear any air leaks...strange

that code is for bank 1 running lean. if you have a 4 pot, then that's the 'bank' it's on about! ;)
