and another one.... ,
'98 ghia X estate, with front end rattling/banging on uneven road surfaces...any ideas? seems to drive OK otherwise,

Check the front bushes/wishbones/shocks

i would say the drop links aswell or the springs might ov snapped

Indeed , luckily, unlike the rest of the car, the front suspension is not complicated so the source of bangs, rattles and clunks is usually the wishbone lower balljoint, bushes or the drop link.
