I am replacing my timming chains due to one breaking,can any one tell me what the sprocket is for about half way up in side the housing.is this the oil pump Aux drive?Also where is the best place to get the bits I need.

Yeah that sounds like the oil pump drive.

what milage has the car done, and which one has broken. I only ask as I have a coss with the rattle, but only 81,000 on clock.

81,000 is about right for timming chain trouble if oil changes have not been carried out to spec.

I believe ford say change the timming chains around 75000.mine has done 85000,

bank 2 has broken ( passenger side),But the other looks very worn

Do me a favour when you do the chains look at the nose of the crank & tell me if it looks like this one?
