Title: Reverse mirror problem
Post by cossieguy on Jun 30th, 2006, 8:36am
Hi everyone, just bought my 96N Cossie saloon and couldn't be more chuffed with it. Just a few niggles to be expected with a 10 year old car though. When putting autobox in reverse the passenger mirror dips as it should however sometimes it stays down when put in drive or if it comes up it doesn't go back to where it was set. If the mirror stays down it keeps trying to dip even with ignition off! It's as if the end stop on the motor isn't there? Bit wooried that this might burn the motor out. Any ideas? Can I just say is it me or does the Scorpio look better now than it did 10 years ago, got asked by mate(who isn't a car buff) How much my "Brand new" car cost and what my private plate stood for!!!! God old Ford 10 years ahead of the game!    }{

Welcome to the board,   and   if  your most pressing  problem with a 10 year  Scorp   is    a   dodgy  wing  mirror  think  yourself  very  lucky   :-*

    It's   possible  to    remove  the  wing  mirror  glass  in  order   to  have  more detailed   look  at  the   mechanism,  but  it's  a   problem    I've  not  heard  of.
