Whats the difference between a 2.0 & 2.3 cylinder head

nothing apart from 2 small holes that are missing from the under side of the cylinder head of the 2.0, i have a 2 liter head and inlet fitted to my 2.3 estate, runs with no problems at all, the 2.3 head gasket still fits. the 2.3 engine is the same as the 2.0 except the block is a bit taller on the 2.3 to gain the extra 300cc (although plumbing up the 2liter inlet to the 2.3 engine is a bit tricky)

i can take a pic if you like of the 2.3 head and show you which holes i mean

If you put a 2.0 cylinder head into a 2.3 do you have to use a 2.0 inlet and what do you mean by plumbing, and do I need to change the valves.

hey.

no the cylinder head will go on no problem

the plumbing part is to do with the inlet manifold, no all the pipes have places to go so you will have to either T off a connected pipe or drill and tap (using loads of ptfe tape so seal the thread) a connector into the aliminum inlet

i also used the 2.0l throttal body and air ducting, all of which just swaps over
