my 2.3 has just gone through 3,yes 3 coilpacks in the last month,has anyone got any suggestions why this should happen. thanks solarpanel

Is the wiring loom in that area ok?

Are the spark plugs correct, properly gapped and in good nick?

Are the leads ok and transmitting the spark nicely?

Are all earth points good and clean?

There are my thoughts, hope they help :)

What's wrong with them? Open circuit? If so then it's likely there is too much current being drawn on that side of the circuit (depending on whether primary or secondary has failed)...

Cracks or significant breaks in the wire insulation going to the coil packs, meaning that the two wires touch & short out.....especially the ones running to the front coil pack. :)

fixed it,wires into plug had broken at the conection and a couple of the wires could touch each other.
