Title: Re: ABS light Post by Mummra on Jul 25th, 2006, 8:56am There seem to be different cures for the putting the ABS light out. Sometimes it does need to be cleared by diagnostic equipment, however some members have found that the light will go out when you start driving it, and some have cleared it by leaving the battery disconnected for a while. |

Title: Re: ABS light Post by Kjetil S on Jul 25th, 2006, 5:29pm An hour should usually do the trick, but it probably won't hurt to leave it over the night. (Remember to have your radio code handy when you connect the battery again) |

Title: Re: ABS light Post by irratic on Jul 25th, 2006, 5:43pm i'll leave it off overnight... will the light go straight out after the abs self test or will i have to drive it to see if ive cured the problem.. |

Title: Re: ABS light Post by Kjetil S on Jul 25th, 2006, 5:48pm That all depends. I think members have seen both happening, so it's probably a "try and see" thing. Btw, don't be alarmed if the car has a rough idle and running when you re-connect the battery. That's normal b/c of the ECU needing to relearn settings. Give it a few miles and it should run smoothly again. |
