that my scorp starts to judder slightly under braking, noticeable through the steering wheel. its not bad at the moment but will prolly get worse. it normally happens when braking from above 20mph, below that it feels fine.
warped disc?

Just noticed that you had thought of warped discs yourself ;)

Seems likely, although others may have more to add.

hope thats all it is, can get pair of new discs and pads for about 35 quid including postage on ebay...

The faster you are going the worse it feels. Yup, sounds like discs to me too ;)

Just replaced the front discs on mine.

Still had a bit of vibration, so I changed the two 7mm pins that hold the brake pad holder in place. Now absolutely smooth.

Took them into work to measure them against the new ones before I fitted them, (as we have very sensitive electronic measuring equipment there), and there was a significant amount of wear on the old ones.

Just maybe........ :).............and a lot cheaper.
