Title: Re: wiring expert needed Post by mr._floppy on Aug 20th, 2006, 12:19am The heated frontscreen is not for de-misting your screen due to sweaty dogs ( your private life is your own affair, I couldn't possibly comment :-* ) that's what your CC/AC is for . It's really for quick clearing of frosty windscreens in the depths of winter , and I'll bet half the owners on this site have non-working front screen heaters coz they're notoriously fragile and and are a real beggar to repair. |

Title: Re: wiring expert needed Post by sector-9 on Aug 20th, 2006, 11:16am Usually fuses are the first things in the circuit, before relays, etc. Don't forget that the relay will only operate with the engine running so the problem may be in another circuit. Unfortunately I have no diagrams for the screen or engine-run circuit (hint: if it's related to this then the a/c won't work either). Darren |

Title: Re: wiring expert needed Post by malcolm on Aug 20th, 2006, 11:59am I would think it very likely that the elements in the windowscreen could be gone open circuit and have noticed in previous cars that they tend to fail line by line until there are none left. I had a new screen on one car due to breakage on the insurance which restored my screen back to perfection. |
