trying to swap over my rear bumper, but, there is a towbar that bolts onto the bumper mounting holes. the bolts for this go through a mounting plate inside the boot, the top of these bolts are the 'roundheaded' type, the nuts on the bottom are rusted to the bolts so the whole bolt turns with the nut. not enough space to get an angle grinder behind the nuts to cut em off, so have grinded the tops of the bolts. the bolts are now free from the fixing plate and lose, but, will not drop down, even with a drift, what else is holding them in position??? am now getting seriously hacked off with it >:(

sorted! ;D

the towbar is a 'bulldog', very well fitted with extra mounting plates etc, except most of the bolts n nuts were rusted, lots of angle grinding, copious amounts of swearing, new bumper on, also put the towbar back on for rear end protection, new bolts etc all coppa slipped, happy again now lol

Recently my good lady (she's sat next to me) ;)
was rear ended in my car by a small kia hyundai or some such thing the tow bar saved a lot of damage to the scorp.
but the little cars coolant was all over the road when my missus drove off. There is a small crack on my bumper but she still has a lot of humble pie eating to do.
The lads down the pub were asking if she had left me I've been in that often ;D ;D ;D

yeah, these bumpers are so delicate and like hens teeth to find a decent replacement.....

They obviously are so busy drinking they don't see her drive you there and pick you up then!! ;D ;D ;)
