Title: Speedo Post by Celesa on Sep 30th, 2006, 12:34pm Anyone has this problem: http://www.domorewithcel.com/speedo.JPG The needle is on the other side! Anyone know how to fix it? It somehow went to the other side while I was changing the battery. Thanks |

Title: Re: Speedo Post by Highlander on Sep 30th, 2006, 1:10pm Try disconnecting the battery for 10 mins and dont have the key in the ignition when reconnecting it. Someone else recently too the instrument cluster out and tilted the speedo needle back into place which also sorted it but it takes a little while to get it out |

Title: Re: Speedo Post by bridgdav on Sep 30th, 2006, 1:15pm Yep... Had it on mine... The needle actually jammed on the bump in the dash... It happened when all the dials reset on startup, which I was told a sure sign the battery is a bit duff.. No amount of resetting and bashing could solve it... So I drilled a 1mm hole directly through the point where the needle tip was touching the bump... Then took a paper clip, bent it so that I could displace the needle from its stuck position. I now have a 1mm hole in the dash plastic... but I have a working speedo. :) |

Title: Re: Speedo Post by TiberiuS on Sep 30th, 2006, 7:30pm Is this an epidemic? Moving coil power meters in Hi-Fi systems usually have a little hairspring to control the ballistics of the meter and bring the little needle back to 0, didn't think this sort of fault would be possible... |
