Used the wipers for the first time in a while this evening and the linkage has dropped off at the first point (the long bit from the motor) Is this a common problem and easy enough to repair or does it mean a complete linkage ??

I went Macyver and used a hairstring om the linkage.! ;D Still holds, replased it 2times in 2years... ;D

Pop it off both ends and turn it around end for end.

I'll just wait for it to stop raining then I'll go out and swap it around and put a couple of cable ties on it then ,

Yep, that's what did the trick for me.
