Hi,
I have just aquired Ultima 2.9 12v Estate (120,00 miles)

I am having trouble with electrics, the radio connections had been cut off and I bought new connections from Halfords (not fitted yet) but since checking radio connections the climate control/heater blower, driver/pasenger windows + mirrors, and heated seats have stopped working.
I have changed all fuses but to no avail, is there a trip switch of some kind, fuse boxes look ok and are very dry.
I have owned a Scorpio 2.3 16v Estate (246,000 miles)for past 3 years and have solved most of it problems with the help the excellent help from fordscorpio website.

I would appreciate any assistance,

You may want to check the relays too as all the circuits you've listed rely on the ignition being on to work.

Would you know what relay controls heater blower and electric windows?

Also is it normal for electric seats to operate no problem without ignition but not work when ignition is turned on?

Sam, The handbook says that there is a yellow relay (R28) for the heater blower motor in the retainer behind the glove compartment. It also says that there is a Brown relay R30 for the window trip switch in the drivers door. I have yet to hear of anyone who has found this Brown one !!!!. As for the seats I have just tried mine and the controls work both with and without the ignition on.
