Hi,

My '98 Scorpio 2.3 DOHC was running fine, local garage fitted rear wheel bearing and and now they cannot start engine,
have replaced camshaft position sensor which tester said was faulty, now error code is P1358 ( Ignition Diagnostic Monitor Signal out of Self-Test Range. ) what does this mean where do I look for problem?

Would appreciate help as I now have problems with both cars (see posted topic 2.9 12v electrics)

Glad this year is nearly over and better luck in 2007.

Sam, As presumably they have been banging around at the back end of the car is it possible they have 'triggered' the engine cut off switch in the boot? Read THIS (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/images/handbook116.gif)

A very good point about the fuel cut off switch. If that doesn't work it may also be worth trying to start it with the red key if you have it :)
